About Rocket

Rocket is a 9 year old female Australian Cattle dog mix born in Grants, New Mexico. She's had a couple owners in her 9 years. In her first home, she lived with a family of a man, woman, and three children. Unfortunately, Rocket was attacked by one of the other dogs in the home and has since showed signs of aggression towards other dogs, primarily large breeds. In her last home, Rocket got into a fight with the neighbors dog. When humans intervened, injuries were sustained by the people from both dogs. Animal control did come out to investigate and stated the injuries were due to the people intervening improperly. Rocket is currently in a foster situation, however, she needs a home with an owner who is able to walk her or exercise her frequently. She needs high walls or an open space away from other animals. She can jump a 4-5 foot wall. She has not been around children in many years, so it is best that she is in a home without children. Rocket currently lives with three adults, a small breed dog and cat. She does well with the cat, but is standoffish with the dog. While she has not shown any aggression towards the small dog, it is not ideal to be with dogs at this time.
