About Genesis

TIME SENSITIVE - DEADLINE FEBRUARY 7 AT 4 PM ID# A287439 Genesis is out of time and urgently needs a hero. She will be euthanized if no one steps forward by February 7 at 4 PM. Genesis came to Pinal County Animal Care and Control after suffering unimaginable trauma. She had been shot and later attacked by two other dogs while roaming. The injuries appear recent, and she is now facing a fight not just for healing, but for her life. Genesis is extremely fearful in the shelter environment, which is preventing her from healing properly. She requires at least eight weeks of strict rest, but the stress of the kennel has caused her to repeatedly injure herself, putting her at serious risk of re-fracturing her leg. If that happens, amputation may be the only option. The shelter environment is not giving her the chance she desperately needs to recover and decompress. We have no information on how Genesis does with other dogs, cats, or children. What we do know is that she needs a calm, patient home or a committed rescue willing to give her time, space, and compassion to rebuild trust and heal both physically and emotionally. Genesis has been through more than any dog ever should, and she deserves the chance to know kindness and safety.
