About Bree

Bree is a 61-pound bundle of potential who has spent the first 2.5 years of her life overcoming the odds. Despite a past that was less than kind, she has emerged with a spirit that is as resilient as it is sweet. Bree is a 'diamond in the rough' who is looking for a very specific environment to help her through her next big hurdle: heartworm treatment. Personality & Talents Smart & Eager: Don't let her nervous side fool you-Bree is incredibly bright. She has already mastered 'sit' and is ready to learn a whole library of commands with the right patient teacher. Playful Spirit: She loves to run and play, showing flashes of the carefree dog she was always meant to be. The Best Part: If you have a hand free for belly scratches, you've found the way to her heart. It's her absolute favorite thing in the world. The Medical Chapter Bree is currently heartworm positive. While this sounds daunting, it is a treatable condition. She is getting her treatment while in a loving foster home. Bree's Ideal Home Bree has a few non-negotiable requirements for her foster or forever home: No Other Pets: Bree needs to be the 'only child'. A home free of other dogs or animals is required. Patient Leaders: Since she can be a bit nervous, she needs humans who understand that trust is built in small, beautiful moments. Bree has survived the hard part; now she just needs a quiet place to get healthy. If you have a calm home and a lot of love to give, you could be the person who changes her life forever.
