The Best Part: If you have a hand free for belly scratches, you've found the way to her heart. It's her absolute favorite thing in the world. The Medical Chapter Bree is currently heartworm positive. While this sounds daunting, it is a treatable condition. She is scheduled to begin her treatment in exactly one week. Because the recovery process requires a dog to keep their heart rate low and stay very calm, Bree's path to health depends on finding the right sanctuary. Bree's Ideal Home To ensure her treatment is successful, Bree has a few non-negotiable requirements for her foster or forever home: Quiet & Calm: She needs a peaceful environment where she can rest and recover without stress. No Other Pets: Bree needs to be the 'only child'. A home free of other dogs or animals is required to keep her energy levels low and her focus on healing. Patient Leaders: Since she can be a bit nervous, she needs humans who understand that trust is built in small, beautiful moments.
