Lu is a sweet, cautious 100 lb bloodhound mix. He's a big silly boy who LOVES food and sleep. In true hound fashion he leads with his nose and can be a bit stubborn. But he's also very loving and cuddly. He's happy lounging outside or patrolling the yard. At my house he's been allowed on the furniture but as long as he knows his spot (like a dog bed or blanket) he's happy there. I've had so many wonderful memories with this boy: road trips, hiking, watching him master the stairs as a puppy. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him but I have a toddler now and little kids have always made him nervous. He has growled at the toddler a few times and I can't take the chance (for either dog or baby) that that behavior may escalate - and keeping them separate means Lu is forced to be away from the rest of the family, which feels unfair to him. He is very submissive to feisty small dogs (which is pretty funny to watch) and loves to play with big dogs. He's also fond of and gentle with cats. He's chill on a patio or at the dog park. He's eager to go on walks or for a ride (though he has a little trouble jumping if the back of the car is very high). Please feel free to email me with any questions or to meet this big boy.
