Meet Stormie Stormie is a beautiful girl who has known abuse, neglect and heartache, and yet she still loves. Stormie has the softest heart. She and her puppies were found on the side of a road. Looking for help, the kind Samaritan who found Stormie reached out to local officials. With officials unwilling to help her and threatening to put this little family down, the Good Samaritan collected the puppies and Stormie and fostered them all. The puppies were adopted and she surrendered Stormie to us. Stormie is as sweet and as friendly as can be. She is gentle and calm. She soaks up affection. She loves being hugged and gives as good as she gets. Stormie is only nine months to a year old. She's just a baby. She is smaller in size than her pictures present. Her warm brown eyes will melt your heart. And her gentle and well-mannered demeanor will win you over. Stormie loves people who are kind to her. She likes other dogs. We'll test Stormie with cats for potential adopters, but her easy-going and trusting ways lead us to think she'll be fine. Stormie is easy to walk. She enjoys time out of her kennel, sniffing her way along. She takes treats sweetly and is just so grateful for any kindness. Stormie has a big scar along her back that looks like a chemical burn. We're not sure what happened and it's healed now, but someone probably threw something on her to chase her away. Stormie has not been treated kindly and yet she shows only love and acceptance. She is ready to find a forever family or person who adores her, and will keep her safe and protected, and love her forever. We think Stormie will do well in most any kind of home. She is an absolute angel who deserves to be smothered with TLC. If interested in welcoming Stormie to your heart and home, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please use the downloadable application found on our homepage. Please email our shelter ([email protected]) to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
