About Caspian

My name is Simba Bascomb, and I am a professional dog trainer and owner of Metro K9 Detroit located in St. Clair Shores, MI. I am assisting a family member with rehoming their dog, Caspian, due to unforeseen housing circumstances. Caspian is a 2-year-old intact male XL Bully, over 100 lbs, up to date on vaccinations (records available), with no bite history. He is dog and human reactive and displays barrier reactivity in the kennel, largely due to limited socialization and spending the majority of his day kenneled. He spends 20+ hours a day in the kennel and only gets let out for potty breaks. He has been introduced to new people without evidence of aggression but would do best in an adult only home with no other pets, with an experienced handler who can meet his physical and mental needs. Caspian is highly toy and food motivated, responds well to training, and has a small foundation in obedience. I am willing to offer a full four-week board and train program, private lessons, follow-ups, and lifetime group classes at no cost to an approved adopter or foster. I am also happy to discuss Caspian's history and behavioral needs via phone call. A neuter can be scheduled prior to intake if required, and we are seeking placement as soon as possible to prevent further behavioral deterioration. Caspian would do best with a woman handler.
