About Nova

A mom nursing a litter of 9 puppies with their eyes barely opened were found alone in a rural area. The mom, Nora, was emaciated and also turned out to be heartworm positive. Nora has been a great Mom to the babies and now that they are weaned she can start her heartworm treatment. Mom will be available for adoption at a later date. Her babies are all social, happy and playful. They are good with people and other dogs. We do not know what they think of cats. Some of the pups look alike and others don't which means different daddies were probably involved. Nova is about 11 weeks old and weighs about 12 pounds. Please help Nova find the loving home she deserves. Nora's puppies: 4 boys (Ethan, Nate, Riley & Tyson) and 5 girls (Anna, Cassidy, Daisy, Katie & Nova) ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. For puppies that have not been able to be neutered/spayed yet (due to being too young or small) we charge $500 with the condition that when they are fixed $50 is refunded. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting. **If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
