Baron the mixed breed puppy!'s Story Baron is a 2-month-old male American Staffordshire Terrier puppy who is already winning hearts everywhere he goes. Just before a winter freeze swept through Texas, Baron, his siblings, and their mom were found abandoned outdoors with nowhere safe to go. Thankfully, they were taken into a temporary foster home for the weekend and then brought to the shelter as soon as it reopened after the storm - a decision that likely saved their lives. Now Baron is getting ready for his next big adventure: coming to Wisconsin on February 6th! Like any puppy his age, Baron is curious, sweet, and full of potential. He's still very young and will need a family ready for puppy basics like training, socialization, and lots of love. In return, Baron promises lifetime loyalty, goofy moments, and the chance to watch him grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be. He's starting fresh - and hoping his forever family is waiting on the other side of the journey. He is working hard on potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog.
