Fredrick Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure His Ride North Fredrick is currently in the Arkansas kill shelter system and is available to come to Wisconsin on our 2/14/26 transport. To make that transport, Fred must have a foster or adopter commitment in place. Without one, he won't be able to take his spot on the transport. Meet Fredrick (Fred) Fredrick is a 2-year-old, approximately 45-pound Basset Hound/Beagle mix (best guess) with a short, sturdy build and classic low-rider legs. He has done very well in a foster home and is ready for his next placement. Fred is friendly, people-oriented, and enjoys being indoors, especially when it means attention and a comfortable environment. He loves spending time with his people and has even enjoyed playing outside in the snow with his foster sibling. He is potty trained and crate trained, and while he is still working on leash manners, he continues to make steady progress. Fred does well with other dogs and is especially good with kids. Though his photos don't always show it, he is on the shorter side with a solid, compact build. Fred recently finished his heartworm treatment and is now ready to travel. He is neutered and cleared to come north with a foster or adopter who will give him the loving home he deserves.
