About Izzy the Basset Mix

Izzy is a beautiful basset hound mix. She weighs about 42 pounds but could stand to lose a few of those pound! She is between 8-10 years of age. She was found on a recently abandoned property in rural Texas as part of an ongoing cruelty and neglect case, where several small mixed-breed dogs were left behind to fend for themselves. Izzy has now raised what will be her final litter of puppies, who are old enough to begin finding their own homes. Izzy absolutely adores people and loves being close to her favorite people. She is affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when she can be near those she trusts. After everything she has been through, Izzy deserves a calm, loving home where she can finally relax, be cherished, and enjoy the comfort and security she has always deserved. She gets along good with dogs of all ages. She has an appointment to be spayed in February, which is included in her adoption fee, she is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition.
