About Roscoe

Roscoe is a shepherd mix adopted from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control in May after being found as a stray. He is estimated to be about 4 years old, weighs approximately 65 lbs, and is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and house trained. He is familiar with using a dog door. Since his adoption, Roscoe has been very affectionate and people-oriented. I currently work from home, and he spends much of his day laying quietly near my feet, content to be close to his person. He enjoys companionship and does well in a home environment. Roscoe has done very well with other dogs and has had positive interactions without issue. He has also been around young children (under the age of 3) and has handled those interactions appropriately. Roscoe does bark in certain situations, including: * When someone knocks or rings the doorbell * When he hears a neighboring dog outside Due to a recent and serious family medical emergency, a close family member now requires full-time in-home care and will be moving into our household. Unfortunately, this individual has significant dog allergies, which makes it impossible for us to keep Roscoe. This decision is heartbreaking, and we have made extensive efforts to find placement with family and friends without success. As a result, we are urgently seeking placement for Roscoe. I am located in Surprise, AZ (near the 303 & Cactus Rd) and am willing to transport Roscoe to facilitate placement.
