Sylphie is a 4 year old miniature schnauzer. She weighs about 18 pounds! She loves people and is great around everyone. She can be a little timid when first meeting someone, and does come around faster to women usually. She is used to kids, but can get a little overwhelmed when they are new kids she hasn't met before (she is great with our toddler though). She is a lap dog and wants to be with her person all of the time~ she is used to sleeping under the covers with someone. She is house trained, crate trained, and not destructive at all. The only thing she'll occasionally do is carry a shoe to the door, but she never actually chews it lol. She is the sweetest girl to her people. The reason we are rehoming her is she has resource guarding with other dogs, especially female dogs (no aggression with people whatsoever). She has a very dominate personality and shows her dominance to our other fixed female dog constantly. Because of this, she would do best as the only dog in the home or in a home with only one other submissive dog. She loves to play and loves her toys. She's great with cats and chickens but no pet rodents in the home because she does have a strong hunting instinct when it comes to small animals and has killed rabbits she's seen in the yard before. She must also have a fenced in yard, she thinks it's a game of tag when she gets loose. She is spayed, microchipped, on monthly heartworm prevention, but is due for her rabies vaccine. She does great with grooming if you use scissors (she'll fall asleep in your arms as you're grooming her) but is terrified of electric clippers. And vacuums lol! I'm only looking for the perfect home for her so I will be picky where she goes. Please reach out if you think you are a good match with a bit about the home you would provide her. Thanks!!
