About Rosie

Hi, I'm Rosie, and I really need you. I'm about 11-12 years old, and I've already been through more than any dog should. I was saved from the MCACC euthanasia list in late November 2025 by 2nd Chance Dog Rescue, and I was given a second chance at life. Now, I need a safe, loving forever foster to spend my golden years with. I'm a chill, mellow, goofy girl. I love lounging on a comfy bed, hanging out near my humans, taking short gentle walks, and sunbathing whenever I can. I can even use the dog door on my own. I like to sneak in little kisses, and I enjoy chewing on my favorite bones. I'm happy as an only dog, or I can share a calm home with another mellow pup with slow, proper introductions. I'm calm, low-energy, and easy-going. I'm potty and crate trained, ride well in the car, and do well with kids ages seven and up. I love my people but also appreciate my own space. I do have some medical needs - I need eye ointment twice a day for dry eye, I take a pill twice a day for arthritis in my back legs (super easy to give with my food), and I'm hard of hearing from lifelong ear infections. But don't worry, I'm used to it and it's easy, and the rescue covers all my food, supplies, and medical care. I just need a soft bed, some love, and someone to be my person. I'm not demanding or fussy. I just want to feel safe, loved, and comfortable for the rest of my days. I've waited so long, and I hope you can help me finally relax and feel at home.
