Akela is 6 years old. He loves people but hasn't been around children much. He doesn't really enjoy being hugged on or bothered so a home without young children would probably be best for him. He is a very very sweet boy, but because he cannot get along with other dogs and I don't have a yard for him to play in, I cannot give him the life he deserves. He has a lot of energy and absolutely loves to play, he will go all day if he's allowed. He cannot be around other dogs, he has been in two dog fights. I did slowly acclimate him to my ex boyfriend's female dog and they lived together for almost three years without any problems. I do think he may be better with female dogs as long as they are slowly introduced the right way but I am not entirely sure, this is just from my experience. I am willing to bring him wherever I need to, I just want to know that he is going to a good home where he is loved and well cared for.
