About Chevy

Chevy has been in our rescue for over a year. He was the dog thrown out of a car who suffered mouth injuries to include losing a tooth which required surgery. Chevy is a 5 year, male, white, shihtzu, Lhasa, something nonshedding mix, who weighs 18lbs. Chevy has been in three foster homes, and although he walks well on a leash, condo and villa living is not for him. Chevy has a high prey drive for squirrels and bunnies. While on a walk, Chevy pulls to explore and the walk is not relaxing for his human. Chevy can spot a squirrel from inside the house while laying on the couch. The funny part is he has never caught one, but keeps trying. Chevy gets along well with other dogs and ironically, totally ignores the cats in the house. Chevy did bite his first foster dad, but it was within the first day. Chevy got out of his halter while on a walk and the husband stressfully grabbed Chevy. Chevy did not know him and reacted. Chevy has never bitten anyone else. For that reason, we are searching for a female only, secure fenced yard. Chevy typically loves to sleep on the couch or Lazy Boy. He also loves to sleep in the bed with his foster mom. Chevy is very well behaved for the groomer. Adoption fee $300
