This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I am looking for a safe, experienced home for my German Shepherd due to a family safety issue; my mom fell on him after she fell from a staircase during the snow storm and he bit her. He is a loyal, intelligent dog who has been part of our family and has never shown aggression toward anyone else. Unfortunately, he recently bit my elderly mother during a stressful situation. Because of this incident, I cannot safely keep him in my home. He would do best with: An experienced dog owner, ideally familiar with German Shepherds A calm, structured environment No elderly individuals. Someone willing to continue training and provide firm, loving leadership He is house-trained / crate-trained / good on leash - lives with a large labradoodle and gets all my well with him; also gets along well with a tuxedo cat. He is protective and deeply bonded to his people, which is why I believe he needs the right home, not a shelter environment. I am being fully transparent because my priority is everyone's safety, including his. I am willing to provide vet records and answer any questions honestly. Please message me only if you have experience with large working breeds and can provide a safe, stable home. Thank you for understanding how difficult this is.
