About Hops

Oh Hops. You're such a good boy wrapped in a nervous shell. �ٴ� If you can provide a calm and patient home for Hops, you could have yourself a genuinely wonderful dog. ��ժ Hops is 5 years old and only 38 lbs. Dog and cat friendly Housetrained and crate trained Well behaved Not destructive Walks decently on a leash (pulls a little if he gets scared) Rides well in a car He's very handsome �����%8F He has one eye that is both brown and blue ���'���%A4Z��ժ Hops spent the last couple years in a home that did not treat him nicely. He came back to the shelter very fearful and shut down. I've been fostering him for a couple weeks and he has made great strides! He is happiest at home where there isn't a lot going on to overstimulate him. He's a calm and gentle soul who doesn't demand attention. He's happy just hanging out with you, and he also doesn't seem to have an issue with being left home alone. Hops comes to the office with me in the mornings and then comes home and stays in his crate in the afternoons. He does ok at the office, but the noises of people walking around the office or talking down the hall do cause him to alert bark. He's happier at home where there isn't so much going on. When I leave him in his crate, he doesn't protest and seems happy to nap. Hops enjoys people, but needs just a minute to calm himself when someone new arrives. Then he wants to be best friends. Due to his past mistreatment, the shelter will not adopt Hops to a home with children. Hops thrives on calm routine. He's going to make a great companion for someone who can be patient with him as he continues to learn that the world and the people around him are safe. �%9D%A4
