Hi, I'm Ruben! My family recently welcomed a new little addition, and they've realized that I'm no longer getting the quality of life I deserve. Because of that, they've made the difficult but loving decision to find me a new home. Below, you'll find some of the benefits and challenges to consider if you decide to adopt me. - I get along well with other dogs and I have many dog friends. I need to have slow, calm introductions, as I doesn't always understand personal space. - I have lots of energy and love to play, but I don't know when to quit and will continue playing. - Physical touch is one of my love languages and I love, love some good cuddles. - Another love language of mine is food, I love to eat! Have some treats ready and I'll walk to the end of the earth and back with you. - I'm very smart, and I know lots of commands... though I may need to hear a command a couple of times before responding. - I'm a rescue dog and that came with some separation anxiety, which I've improved significantly since adoption. I just have to be part of any conversation that my ears pickup. - I hate the doctors! Every time I go, I get poked by these long, metal sticks. So I must be heavily medicated before I take a visit. - Walking can be a challenge for me as I'm a reactive Rotty. I've greatly improved since being adopted. It will take a patient and consistent owner to continue my progress. - I'm potty trained, I don't jump on human furniture, I don't eat human food and I don't beg for it.
