Cooper has been with our family for almost 7 years since he was rescued by our daughter from the side of Highway Rte 95 on her way home from college in early 2019. We have cared for him since then and all four of our now-adult children have bonded with him. My husband has been working from home since COVID sent many people home in early 2020. Since then, Cooper has gotten used to having someone home with him during the day. He is not bad when we are both gone, but we believe he is sad. He is a good listener, fairly easily trained, uses a dog door for his daily routine, and eats just about anything you give him. Sadly, he is a little overweight. We've had many dogs over the years, up to as many as 7 at once, in our home and he gets along with all of them. We've not had cats, so don't know about that. He is very sweet, loves to play tug with his rope and anyone who will take the other end, is calm most of the time, and is eager to please. Unfortunately, none of our children are in a living situation where they can take him and we are downsizing significantly as we've become empty nesters. We are hoping to find him a new home where he will be loved and taken care of. He is neutered, and has a tracking chip. He's current on rabies, but we don't board him so he doesn't get a lot of the other shots.
