About Laniey

Laney is a foster who was adopted by a very sweet older couple five years ago. Sadly, they are both in serious health decline and can no longer care for her. They reached out to me to help them find Laney a new loving home. She is about 10 years old. She is used to being with her people 24/7. They definitely spoiled her and unfortunately, that has caused some fear reaction when anybody gets close to them or if she is away from them. I did take her on a walk the other day and she will bark at other people and dogs. She needs to go to a home with someone who understands fear in dogs. She wasn't this way when I was fostering her. She was a very sweet, loving girl. I'm sure she still has that in her because these people absolutely adore her. But they did not allow her to have much freedom to Maintain her independence and confidence. That's why she's fearful now. I don't know how she would be with another dog, but this couple also had another dog which Lainey got along with. But I can't make any claims to that situation because I don't live with them. She is still at their home, so she's not in danger, but they need to find her a home rather quickly. The husband has been in and out of the hospital, and the wife is struggling with dementia. If you can find it in your heart to give this little girl, her final loving home, that would be Wonderful. She was not walked very much, so she has put on some weight and become a little chunky. It would be great if someone would take the time to walk her and work with her. She has a lot of potential. There is no fee to adopt her. We just want her to go to a good home. She is a purebred Pomeranian.
