About Sanford

I cannot understand why no one is looking for this sweet senior boy. Sanford walks well on a leash, is very easy going and already neutered. He doesn't ask for much, doesn't bark, he's just happy for a nice soft fluffy bead, his sweater and some tasty food. He was very thin when he first got here in early Jan. but doing better now. He has eyes that look right through your soul, it breaks my heart. Owners should cherish their old dogs, they have given so much and still have so much more to give. I'm not sure what Sanfords story is, but we want a happy ending. Sanford, is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, and will be microchipped when adopted. And YES, we will be picky on his new home. NOTE: all animals adopted are taken straight to a local veterinarian for spay/neuter. We do adopt out of area providing adopter is will to make more than one trip. There are NO exceptions, and we do not hold animals. All Kittens and puppies must weigh 2 lbs. for surgery and there are a limited number of veterinarians in our area that will do a pediatric spay/neuter. please note the Rockbridge Spca does not have emotional support animals or service animals. we do not adopt to college students, however, they are welcome to volunteer. *a home visit may be required
