About Squirrel

PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS: Squirrel is a young, playful Shorthair who loves to play with his foster family's dogs. SQUIRREL'S STORY: Squirrel is a 1-year-old, 35-lb happy, playful boy with a big puppy heart and an even bigger love for other dogs. He is extremely dog-friendly, plays beautifully with dogs of all sizes, shares toys, and has excellent social skills, he even politely play bows to invite fun. Squirrel is affectionate and people-oriented, often following his humans around or relaxing nearby with a chew toy. He enjoys walks, fetch, running in a fenced yard, and especially having a dog friend to wrestle and play with. Squirrel is food-motivated, eager to learn, and already knows sit, with other commands in progress. He is working on crate training as well and right now he gets a kong while in his crate. He is also continuing to fine-tune his house training and leash manners. With structure, consistency, and continued training, Squirrel will thrive. He would do best in a home with another playful dog and people who are excited to help him grow into the amazing companion he's meant to be.
