Foster to adopt needed. Skeeter. 4 yr female Great Dane. Spayed and UTD on vet care, vaccines & preventatives. Good with other dogs. Cats unknown. Kids 8+ yrs old unless they've recently lived with giant breed. Housebroken & crate trained. Located in Athens GA Meet Skeeter A 4-year-old Great Dane with a gentle heart and a big love for couch cuddles. Skeeter is already an easy companion to love. She's an excellent car rider, especially if she has a cozy bed to stretch out on, and she walks nicely on leash; taking direction well and even handling outings like strolling through an antique mall with confidence. Skeeter enjoys other dogs, especially those with a more laid back play style like hers; high energy puppy play is not her thing. She's comfortable with attention from strangers while out in public. She may not know basic commands like 'sit' yet, but she does come when called. She eats well, isn't overly food-driven, and is a huge fan of couch time and cuddles. Skeeter doesn't need perfection-just patience, love, and a family willing to be her safe place while she heals. If you've ever thought about fostering with the intention to adopt, Skeeter could be the girl who changes everything. Skeeter is spayed and UTD on vet care, vaccines and preventatives. She is heartworm positive and will need a foster to adopt family willing to�%A0see her through her current treatment regimen�%A0for the nasty parasites. As is in our basic requirements, your dogs MUST consistently be on heartworm prevention. Once Skeeter has completed her treatment and is deemed free of heartworms, then if all parties are agreeable that it's a good fit, her foster to adopt family can adopt her. We pay for her necessary vet care including heartworm treatment and heartworm testing while being fostered. We currently are open to qualified foster to adopt families in TN GA AL MO MS KY OH IN IL SC NC VA WV MD DE PA and can provide transport help to these states.
