About Charlie

Charlie is a smart, energetic, and affectionate young Jack Russell mix with a big personality and a love for people. He is playful, curious, and thrives with engagement, structure, and activity. As Charlie entered adolescence, it became clear that he does not do well in a multi-dog household. He began showing fixation and pushy behavior toward one specific dog, which escalated and affected the overall group dynamic. He seems to get jealous and will raise his hair. Maybe resource guarding? Or jealousy? Can give better detail over phone. Because of this, Charlie would be best placed as an only dog, where he can feel secure and successful or with a very calm, confident dog. Charlie has never shown aggression toward people and enjoys human interaction. His challenges are dog-to-dog in the home environment, not with people. He would do best with: An only-dog household or with an older confident dog. A dog-savvy adopter, ideally familiar with terrier breeds An active home that enjoys training, enrichment, and routine This is a responsible, proactive rehoming decision being made early to prevent escalation and to give Charlie the best possible chance at a stable, long-term home. Charlie is young, neutered, and highly trainable. With structure and clear boundaries, he has strong potential to thrive in the right environment. He was born April 21, 2025. He is 13 pounds. Loves sleeping in a lap. Loves to go for car rides. Never been crated as someone is usually always home. Loves attention!!
