About Goaty

Hello. Goaty has been a loving companion for 13 years, and he is now in search of a peaceful sanctuary for his sunset era. He is a soulful, sweet boy who still has plenty of energy and a deep love for lap sits, head scratches, and quiet cuddles. Unfortunately, due to a volatile family dispute, Goaty is at risk of being euthanized. While it breaks my heart to see him in this position, I can no longer provide the home he needs. Severe cat allergies, compounded by significant environmental health issues in our current residence, have made it physically impossible for me to continue living with him. I am fighting to ensure he does not fall victim to these unfortunate circumstances and instead finds the safety and dignity he deserves. Health & History: Goaty is in remarkably good health for a senior. He is up to date on his vaccinations and had a successful dental procedure three years ago where 8 teeth were removed; he has healed perfectly and eats well. He has spent his life with access to the outdoors and would be happiest in a home with a secured yard or a 'catio' where he can safely enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Behavioral Note: He has occasionally had issues with peeing on items left on the floor. However, this is clearly a stress response to a high-tension environment and living with other cats. He would likely thrive as an only pet in a calm, predictable household where he can feel secure.
