He is not a 'plug and play' dog. Oreo needs time, patience, structure, and someone who understands that some dogs need a little extra time before they can fully trust. About Oreo: Can be reactive at first with new people and dogs Needs slow, proper introductions Quick meet-and-greets are not enough for him Once comfortable, he is affectionate, playful, and very cuddly Has a strong personality and may want to be the 'top dog' Does best with dogs who can match his energy and play style Oreo can be reactive on leash and may growl or lunge out of fear, excitement, or overstimulation. He does not do well with strangers approaching him quickly and needs people who will respect his space. With patience and the right handling, his happy and loving side really comes out. Ideal Home: Experienced dog owner Patient, structured home Strong handler who can manage him safely on leash Someone committed to continued guidance and decompression Dog-friendly with the right dog and slow introductions No kids No cats Dog-friendly with proper introductions Oreo is not for everyone, but for the right person, he will be incredibly rewarding.
