Izzy the Basset Hound's Story Arriving January 30th! Izzy is a beautiful senior, female, basset hound mix. We estimate her age to be between 8 and 10 years old. She was found on a recently abandoned property in rural Texas as part of an ongoing cruelty and neglect case, where several small mixed-breed dogs were left behind to fend for themselves. Izzy has now raised what will be her final litter of puppies, who are old enough to begin finding their own homes. According to her Texas foster, Izzy absolutely adores people and loves being close to her family. She is affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when she can be near those she trusts. After everything she has been through, Izzy deserves a calm, loving home where she can finally relax, be cherished, and enjoy the comfort and security she has always deserved She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, January 30th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday January 30th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog.
