About Sophie

Sophie is a resilient, affectionate 2-year-old with a wonderful balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. At around 60 pounds, she's a solid, lovable girl who enjoys making the most of every day. In her foster home, Sophie loves to play-especially when it comes to a game of fetch-and she's fantastic with other dogs. When playtime winds down, Sophie is just as content to relax, showing off her softer side by curling up for long cuddle sessions and quiet companionship. Sophie is very people-oriented and forms strong bonds with those around her. She thrives on connection and enjoys being part of daily life, whether that means joining in on activities or lounging nearby. Her foster notes that she has a pleasantly 'lazy' side and is happiest when she can alternate between play and snuggling on the couch. Earlier in her life, Sophie faced some significant challenges, including serious injuries to her back legs and a heartworm diagnosis. Thanks to dedicated medical care and ongoing support, she has made incredible progress and continues to gain strength each day. She doesn't require any further medical care. Sophie is looking for a home filled with compassion and care. What she gives back is immeasurable: deep loyalty, heartfelt affection, and a quiet resilience that shines through in everything she does.
