(willing to drive up to 100 MILES ). 5 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB: 10/16/20). His name is 'MAJOR '. Background: the Current Shepherd Parent has had Major since weaned. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs. Good with cats, will chase sometimes, but NOT aggressive. House trained. Crate trained, but does not need as long as everything is put up and off of the counters, he has good behavior when left out and alone, but will countersurf, so have everything put up. Any known medical issues?: Recently diagnosed with Pannus, (eye disease) and being treated on lifelong eye drops, around $60 a refill. Abuse/Neglect History?: NO. ENERGY LEVEL: MEDIUM. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: AVERAGE. Weighs 73 lbs. Currently on 'Canine X Chicken and Beef' food. Good with car rides?:NO, anxious . Socialized with: *people?:YES . *dogs?: YES. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): YES. Loves: balls - fetch - walks - Outside Time - playing with other dogs - squeaky toys - food - cuddling - playing with kids - sleeping in bed with his person - being near his person - chew bones - Kongs with peanut butter. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: YES. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH):YES . *Good on a Leash?: FAIR. *Lovable?: YES. *Eager and fast learner?:YES. Bite History?: YES. There was only ONE incident and it was a PROVOKED bite from Fear Response. The Current Shepherd Parents toddler Foster Child jumped up on top of Major and Major bit him, he did NOT attack him, it was ONE bite from the Fear-based Reaction. Major has never shown any type of aggression and there has never been any other incident. This was a PROVOKED incident! NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'He is amazing. We are devastated that this is the situation that we are in. He loves all kids, but also needs his space. Doesn't like his butt being touched but does fine with brushing'. Re Homing because�'�|: because of this provoked incident, they are just not comfortable with knowing they have toddlers in the home that they are fostering, and feel it is best for Major to go into a great home with NO toddlers involved to set him up for success.. Major will be a great companion for the right person. Will thrive best�'�|?: in a loving home with NO toddlers, who can also continue his Pannus Treatment under Vet Care.
