About Hawkeye

Hawkeye is a 5.5 year old fixed male Great Dane I have had since he was 8 weeks old. He is currently around 165 lbs and up to date with his shots. He has bitten my male boxer 3 times in the past 3 years. It only seems to happen in January, which I don't quite understand. We also have a female boxer who he doesn't seem to have issues with. We have 3 children, 2 year old and 2 10.5 year olds. He doesn't seem to have an issue with children either, but did nip at the baby when she was smaller. I think he would be better suited to be the only dog in a child free (or mostly child free) home. We have a fenced yard so he is used to being able to run, however he is not the best on a leash because of this. It breaks my heart to find him a new home, but I know he will thrive in the right home.
