About GiGi

Gigi is a senior lady being fostered in Dunedin FL. She was a stray so we don't know her true age but believed to be 12+. Gigi was found as a stray in really rough shape. The shelter knew she needed rescue so now she's with United Yorkie Rescue. Here's what her foster mom says! Update Bio: 1/26/26 Wow! What a difference a couple of hours at the beauty salon will make! It took my groomer that long to get me looking like a dog again and boy, do I ever feel so much better! She also gave me lots of massages to help make me feel calm and that took some extra time. And all the groomers fell in love with my sweet and gentle personality! We still have a few things to do to get me up to snuff. I have a UTI which is currently being treated and I have to return to the Dogter for some more blood tests to check something out. I will be scheduled for a spay and dental as soon as all that gets sorted out. My Dogter says I am in quite good shape considering the extreme neglect I have endured. I still need some work on my housebreaking but my foster mom knows when I start pacing around the house, it means I need to go out. I am blind in my right eye and I have limited sight in my left eye, so I sometimes get a little agitated when I don't know where I am. But my foster mom says I do really well not bumping into everything so she thinks my sniffer is really good. As far as my hearing, she thinks I can hear okay but sometimes I have selective hearing. I am a terrier after all! I sleep A LOT! And I generally sleep through the night. I have a really good appetite too! And I am good in the car! I am not a terribly active dog, but I will be a great companion dog to someone who just wants some 4-legged love in their home. So all those groomers said they would adopt me if they could - maybe if you can, I might be the one you decide to take home to love for the rest of my life?
