Cindy is currently in a foster home and needs a foster or adopter to secure her spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, she won't be able to make the trip north. Meet Cindy Cindy is a sweet and friendly Husky mix girl, around 40 pounds, with a distinctive bob tail. She is people and dog friendly, and her affectionate personality makes her a joy to be around. Cindy was rescued from a kill shelter in Arkansas just in time - she had been in an outdoor pound and is now safe in a foster home for the cold weather. She is working on basic household skills, including potty training, crate training, and leash manners. She is not yet spayed, but she can be spayed in time for transport if tagged appropriately. Cindy is playful, loving, and ready for a family who can give her guidance, structure, and lots of love. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
