About CHLOE

Adoption Fee: $500
Maltese
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

CHLOE is an 18-month-old, 7-pound Maltese who was surrendered to us because she was too active for her owner. She is an adorable sweetheart who loves attention. CHLOE is a perfect little lap dog who prances happily for affection and pets from her people. Once she is comfortable with strangers, they get to pet her too! Being loved on is definitely her favorite thing. She loves her people and will be best not left alone for long periods of time. CHLOE does well with the dogs in her foster home, but they are a bit bigger than she is and she has not played with them very much. Her previous owner shared that she loved to play with another small dog in her former home, and she will be happiest with a playful little dog in her new family. We do not know how she would do with cats or kids. Because she can be a little timid at first, younger children are probably not the best fit for her. CHLOE is making great progress with potty training. She uses a potty pad like a champ and has not had any accidents since arriving in her foster home. She is not leash trained yet and is hesitant about going in and out at her foster home, but she is slowly improving. A securely fenced yard is required. At night, CHLOE has learned how to use the doggy steps to climb into the big bed, where she loves to snuggle close to her person. She will occasionally choose some quiet time for herself and curl up on a large doggy pillow to relax. CHLOE is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, has received a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention injection, and is microchipped with lifetime registration. She will need regular grooming to prevent matting, and adopters should be prepared to factor that ongoing cost into her care. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
