About Poncho

The good: Poncho is an almost 2 year old long-haired chihuahua. He is fully grown at 6lbs. He is the perfect lap dog. He will sit by your side all day while you work from home and also enjoys running around outside. He is great at signaling when he needs to use the bathroom and will walk by your side without a leash once bonded. His favorite toy to play with is socks. No issues with barking inside. He is fully vaccinated but not neutered. He is also very low shedding. Where he may need some work/training: Poncho does not like other dogs. He will bark/growl at all other dogs regardless of their size. He has never met a cat. He is also a very picky eater and prefers freshly prepared foods (especially anything with chicken) over any typical dog foods. He is inconsistent with using pee pads when left home alone. He does not like to be left alone for long periods and dislikes being confined in a specific space such as a crate or playpen. He will need consistent sanitary grooming because the hair around his private areas grows very quickly and catches urine/poop if not trimmed. Rehoming due to our work/sports schedule so that he can be with a family that can be home with him more consistently. He will come with his dog beds/blankets/leftover food or any other items if the adoptee wishes. I am happy to answer any additional questions to see if Poncho would be a good fit for your home.
