X URGENT- Riverside County Shelter, Jurupa Valley location So Cal - ID #A1896232 'GORDY'- SUPER SWEET YOUNGER, PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY, VERY HANDSOME BOY LISTED NOW AS AN AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD/GERMAN SHEPHERD X AT GREAT RISK IN HIGH KILL SHELTER. AVAILABLE TO ADOPT, BUT SHELTER IS OVERFULL and EUTHANIZING YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS AND GIVES LITTLE TIME. WE ARE THEREFORE ALSO DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO HELP! DEAR GORDY was walked into the shelter with a similar looking friend on 1/17, and said to be found as a stray. His/their owner sadly never showed. He has been kenneled with his other friend, Howie, as well as another unrelated dog, Max, all who do well together, and dog and people friendly, and have no reported issues at this time. The dogs do not need to be adopted together, although if you could, even better. We have separate posts up for the others with links also below. Gordy is said to be 4 years young and weighs 56 lbs now, his friend Howie is 52 lbs, and other kennelmate Max is 61 lbs and thought to be 2 years old. We have nice videos of these dogs we will be posting on facebook. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting sweet Gordy or any others, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (951) 358-7387 and reference his applicable ID and also use his listing link to express interest. If you are interested just to foster, or foster to adopt, or if you need further help, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap as we are trying to find fosters we can then refer to a rescue group to save him in time. There is also a chance he could be fostered through the shelter if you are local, or we could pair you with a rescue group to assist with this as a foster if you are further away (but not too far from a willing rescue).
