About Hobbes

Hobbes is a high-drive 6 year old with some quirks, but lots of energy and love to give. He enjoys being in control of play - his favorite game is tug of war, but also loves fetch (when he's willing to give up the toy). Can be assertive, especially with smaller dogs, during play. He can be a protective of his meals so requires a structured feeding routine. Will not eat an only-kibble diet, preferring half wet/half dry. Hobbes requires calm and confident leadership and ongoing leash training from a patient owner who has experience with anxious dogs. He has not had much contact with children, but can be rather assertively friendly (jumpy) when greeting new people and caution should be taken. He gets along well with cats.
