About Zues

Zeus is a 5-6-year-old American Bulldog/Mastiff mix weighing around 90 lbs. He has spent the past three years living in boarding kennels at a veterinary clinic after being left behind. Through it all, Zeus has remained a deeply loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog with the people he knows and trusts. Zeus is house trained, kennel trained, leash trained, and rides well in the car. He knows his commands-sit, down, come, wait, stay, heel, and 'no'-and does best with structure, routine, and calm leadership. Zeus forms very strong bonds with his person and truly shines in a quiet, predictable environment. He is best suited for an adult-only home with limited foot traffic, where he can feel secure and understood. He can be protective of his space and valued things (including family), so continued respectful management around food, toys and strangers is important. With other dogs, Zeus can do well, especially with larger, calm female dogs, and enjoys appropriate companionship when introductions are handled thoughtfully. Once Zeus chooses you, his devotion is unwavering. He is incredibly sweet and thrives when given time, consistency, and trust. Zeus would be a wonderful match for someone seeking a steady, loyal companion-such as a retired veteran or a person living a quieter lifestyle-who understands the value of a deep one-on-one bond. Zeus doesn't need many people. He just needs his person-and a chance to finally be home.
