About Duke

Every Duke Deserves a Castle: Duke is an 8-month-old male Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 lbs. He's still very much a puppy and learning how the world works. Duke is kennel trained and does well with kids and other dogs when given a slow, patient introduction. Duke can be fearful at first, especially in new situations, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality starts to shine through. He's the kind of dog who will thrive with someone willing to move at his pace and show him that people can be kind and consistent. He's being rehomed after a family situation changed-Duke was recently dropped off by an owner who could no longer afford veterinary care. Through no fault of his own, Duke now needs a new home where he can get the stability, care, and love every puppy deserves. Duke would do best in a calm, understanding home that will give him time to settle in and grow into the confident little companion he's meant to be. If you're looking for a small dog to nurture, bond with, and watch blossom, Duke could be your guy.
