Maeve just turned 6 years old. She was raised around an older male dog, and would likely be okay with another male dog companion if she could be in charge and he matched her energy levels. She's not a puppy anymore and isn't into babysitting or heavy play. Maeve chases cats. She is great at rodent and other pest control. Her current family has 3 young children, 4 years and younger. Maeve likes to watch them play and likes pets, but her patience with physical play appears thin. She has never hurt or tried to hurt a person, young or old, but her body language and vocalization (stress yawns, moans) tell us she would rather be left alone which is why we recommend an adult household. Maeve needs a confident owner who is willing and has the time to maintain her training. She is very well mannered, house broken, spayed, and likes to train. Maeve's owners are husband and wife. This description is written by Sam, the wife, as she perceives Maeve. Tim, the husband, has spent more time with Maeve and has been the one to train her. He will be able to provide more information, so please let us know what questions you have.
