About Smokey

Meet Smokey Brighton, MI This handsome guy is a 6�%BD-year-old purebred American Pit Bull Terrier, 65 lbs, and he's looking for the right person to call his forever home. Smokey is incredibly smart, loyal, and affectionate. He commands (the basics, heel- not perfect, calm, roll over, paw). He's house-trained, potty-trained, and currently working on crate training. Despite his playful, high-energy side, after his morning exercise, he loves to nap and relax during the day. He absolutely loves the snow (especially with his snow boots on!), swimming, and if you can hang a rope from a tree he will be in heaven. Smokey gives the best hugs and snuggles. If you say 'hugs,' he'll gently place his paws on your hips, and he loves resting his head against your neck for snuggles. Smokey will thrive best as the only pet in the home and in a household without children. He's reactive to other dogs on leash, but with an experienced, confident owner who understands his breed and to continue training, he has so much potential. He does best with someone who can be a calm, consistent leader, not just a companion. He does have allergies that require ongoing care, including supplements and regular vet checkups. A home that can support this is important. Smokey just had his yearly checkup and bloodwork completed, and all vaccinations are fully up to date. To make his transition as easy as possible, all of Smokey's belongings will be provided - including his crate, beds, gear, food, and supplements. Ideal home: �'ۢ Experienced dog owner to breed �'ۢ No kids, no other pets (Other pets are feasible with experienced owner & training) �'ۢ Plenty of space indoors and ideally lots of space outdoors as well. �'ۢ Someone who enjoys training, structure, and building a strong bond This decision comes from love - due to my current living situation, I can no longer give Smokey the time, space, and consistency he deserves.
