UPDATE ON LILY - STILL WAITING FOR HER LUCKY DAY Valentine's Day came and went and our sweet Lily is still without a home. She did have a wonderful meet-and-greet - it truly felt hopeful - but sadly the adopter's veterinarian didn't feel their current dog would be the right match. Our hearts broke a little because Lily was ready to love with her whole soul. So she waits. Still believing. Still hoping that her forever person is out there. But we are not giving up on this incredible girl. Somewhere, someone is meant to be hers - and we believe with all our hearts that Lily's lucky rainbow is still ahead. The holidays have passed one by one, and Lily keeps watching them go by without a family to call her own. All she has ever wanted is simple - to belong, to be loved, to finally go home. Lily is a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd, about 50 lbs, with soulful eyes and the sweetest little head tilts - like she's softly asking, 'Could you be my person?' She is loyal, affectionate, playful, and deeply devoted once she trusts you. She loves running and playing with canine friends and would thrive with a playful dog companion who matches her energy. She learned to play, gained healthy weight, made dog friends, enjoys car rides, and melts into gentle affection once she feels safe. The love she gives is quiet, deep, and healing - the kind that changes you. But time is running short again. Her foster can only keep her a little while longer, and we cannot let Lily lose her safe place after everything she has survived. She has been such a good girl. She survived abandonment.
