Harper is a fantastic dog! I've been fostering her for about a year, and I really hate to give her up, but she's just not in the right setting with me. I have one small, older dog who's done a pretty good job of showing her the ropes, but there's so much more to being a dog that Harper's missing out on! What she really needs is a home, preferably with a family, and definitely with another medium or large dog and a fenced-in backyard where she can romp and play to her heart's content. That's what she's missing with me. She doesn't really have anyone to play with here. My other dog will play a little, but she's pretty fragile and has kind of weak back legs, so Harper will inevitably knock her over at some point lol, and then my dog's done playing. Harper has a very sweet personality. She's very loving and always wants to be around her person. She has a lot of cute personality traits (like if you're in the kitchen and she wants to let you know she's hungry, she'll come over and lie down in front of you and put either a paw or her head gently on one of your feet. It's so sweet because she's not all up in your grill demanding food - she's just politely letting you know she may starve to death any minute, so if you wouldn't mind dropping a morsel%BD'%BD|). She lives to please and wants more than anything not to make a mistake. She's 100% housetrained, fine without a crate, and is very good-natured. That said, she is still learning how to handle riding in a car (and it's been a long process), and she still needs some more work on basic training, including walking on a leash. We went to basic obedience school, but she was so shaken up by the car ride there that she really couldn't learn anything. If you're looking for a sweetheart of a companion that you don't have to raise from a puppy, then Harper's your girl!
