About Salty

Salty is a 7YO German Shepherd with a calm soul, excellent manners, and a calm, mature approach to life. He's great on a leash and already knows how to sit on command. Treats are really the way to his heart - he's eager to please for them and will take then gently from your hand. He's also good about catching them midair! When it comes to toys he'll trot after them when you throw them and carry them around briefly, but it seems more like he's doing it for you than for him. He's not much for playtime and would rather go back to his calm explorations. Salty is on the lower energy side and is happy to spend lots of time just sniffing around. Salty has also done well hanging out with other dogs in shelter playgroups. He's not particularly interested in playing with them, but he coexists with them nicely. He's friendly with people too, but independent and enjoys doing his own thing as much as he enjoys being pet. He's perfectly content to keep himself entertained! If you're looking for a polite, low maintenance companion who's past the puppy chaos and happy to enjoy life at a relaxed pace, Salty might just be your perfect match.
