About GRACIE

GRACIE is the sweetest 12 year old, 5 pound senior Chihuahua who was found several weeks ago hiding on someone's porch. When attempts to find an owner weren't successful, she came into rescue. She is perfectly petite and ready to steal your heart! GRACIE is a loving girl who enjoys lap cuddles and kisses, but she's also content curling up in a favorite dog bed nearby. Her days are filled with long naps and short bursts of excitement, usually around mealtime or when her people come home. She was a little shy and timid at first, but once she felt safe, her gentle and affectionate personality began to shine. GRACIE quickly made friends with the other tiny Chihuahuas in her foster home and really enjoys their company. She is not going to be happy without a little doggy friend in her home. She does not enjoy spending time alone. Her temperament with cats and children is unknown but at her size and age, a home without kids is best. GRACIE is mostly housebroken, but being a 5-pound Chihuahua, she will use a potty pad if one is available, although she much prefers going outside. A fenced yard is required for this tiny cutie and she should not be outside alone, ever. At night, GRACIE loves sleeping in the big bed tucked under the covers, but she's also quite fond of the tiny papasan chair in her foster home. GRACIE is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She had a dental to address her very poor teeth that must have caused her a bit of pain. After getting the dental care she desperately needed, Gracie began to truly shine.She has about 18 teeth left, and her little tongue adorably peeks out, only adding to her overall cuteness. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
