Courtesy Posting: URGENT AT SANTA FE, NM (NR ALBUQUERQUE) - ID #A173800 'DELILAH' (BLACK FEMALE) and ID #A173801 'DANTE' (CREAM MALE) AT SANTA FE HUMANE after their owner sadly passed- ADOPTABLE and STUNNING BONDED FEMALE AND MALE PAIR OF PUREBRED CHOWS - NEED LOVING FOREVER HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE- DOG FRIENDLY, MAY BE OKAY WITH CATS. Some transport may be considered for suitable and qualified homes. Please help us find a responsible and forever home or a foster and rescue, ideally who is chow savvy. Delilah and Dante, both said to be approximately 6 years old, were brought to the shelter after their owner who loved them dearly passed away, and extended family was unable to care for or take them in. Although the pair came in rather shy, the shelter let us know, 'They're turning out to be sweet and curious.' The also said. 'We have videos of the Chows interacting with Don Chuy, walking briefly through the cat kennels, interacting with Trevor, interacting with Santa and friends, and finally passing by the PC kennels. I think they did a superb job with all new situations. We have determined they're pretty bonded, and think their quality of life could suffer if housed separately.' We have many of these videos and pictures of them posted on facebook, as well as some can be found on this link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1GcU9gdN6gGqyS3m7 Delilah is described as 'This beautiful lady is 6 years old and currently weighs a little over 60lbs. We recently did an interview with her and she tells us that she is ready to leave the shelter and settle into the home of her dreams (aka your house!). She is bonded with her brother Dante and what we call a bonded pair. What does that mean you may ask? It means she would need to go home together because you can't break up a dynamic duo! She is a great help to Dante as they both need each other to lean on from time to time.' Dante is described as '6 years old. I currently weigh about 70 lbs. I am bonded with my sister Delilah and we must be adopted together. If you are ready to double the love, then you have to consider Dante and Deliliah! Deliah and Dante`s adoption fee are $100 They are spayed or neutered and microchipped and have age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply. Both dogs do have some arthritis and now on gabapentin and can be seen in video moving about fairly well. Delilah also previously had entropion surgery. The shelter has their medical records for your review and upon request. If you may be interested in adopting Delilah and Dante, please contact Santa Fe Humane at (505) 983-4309 and ask for them by ID.
