About Slade von Salzburg

Slade von Salzburg is a beautiful 2-3 year old red and black German Shepherd. He enjoys attention and becomes affectionate once he feels comfortable with you, putting his head against you for pets, following you around, and becoming your shadow. Slade is eager for experiences and working on his leash manners; he comes out ready to go for a jog and likes to keep moving, but he's improving on each walk. A larger male, Slade would do best with an experienced handler to help guide him, and he is looking for a home without any cats or small dogs. He is observant and aware, listens well, is very treat-motivated, and at times, likes to tell you how he feels. He is calmer off leash and does quite well around dogs at the rescue. He is meeting them okay, but isn't a fan of dogs romping around him. If you are looking for a dog who will place you at the center of his world, Slade might be for the one for you.
