About Yoda

Meet Sweet Yoda! This adorable 4-year-old Japanese Chin is truly one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet. He's not only beautiful, but also gentle, easygoing, and absolutely not an alpha-just a loving little beautiful guy who wants to get along with everyone. He LOVES playing with my chins and has integrated beautifully into our pack. His playful, friendly nature really shines when he's romping around with dogs he's compatible with. I only have Japanese Chins so I'm not sure how he is with other sized dogs, but he fell absolutely in love with his 'roommates' very quickly so he's very adaptable, as long as he's safe. Yoda can appear shy at first while he finds his way, patiently studying the household dynamics and settling in to his rightful place. I'm currently working on his leash training, and he's doing wonderfully. With a little continued practice, he's going to be a fantastic walking partner-happy to trot along and enjoy the world at your side. Yoda is potty pad trained so that really helps in inclement weather or in situations of wildfire smoke that would be way too dangerous for him to be outside in. And, he's currently making great progress on his house training! I don't know how he feels about cats or small children, but any home considering him will need to be responsible and attentive. Like many Japanese Chins, he could be an escape artist, so doors, gates, and outdoor access must be handled carefully. Safety is essential for this beautiful little sweetheart! Yoda wouldn't be happy being left alone all day. He thrives with companionship-either from a (or a few) dog buddy who matches his size and temperament, or a human who's home often and can give him the love and attention he cherishes. Yoda loves digging around in soft beds and blankets, and he loves playing with small, fluffy, squeaky toys. Watching him play is guaranteed to warm your heart. He's up to date on all his shots and is healthy and is neutered, but otherwise he's in great shape and ready for his forever home. This beautiful boy is truly the sweetest soul and deserves the most loving, attentive home in the whole wide world. If you're looking for a joyful, affectionate companion, he would be your perfect match. Yoda is located int the Pacific Northwest and preference will be given to adopters in the local area. Any adopters out of area will be responsible for all transportation costs.
