Poppy is a 3-year old purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She belonged to my father-in-law until he passed last year and we have had her since then. She likes to go for walks, would love to have a wide open safe space to run, and also likes to snuggle on the couch. We currently have 2 other dogs, and she has been exposed to other dogs of various sizes. While she will play and wrestle with other dogs (corgi or cattle dog sized) we get the impression that she would like to go back to being an only dog and maybe visit other dogs from time to time. She seems to get jealous and then self-punishes by staying outside. She sleeps in her crate or often just wants to be let into the basement for the night and comes up for breakfast. Im sure she would sleep in your bed if you let her. She gets very used to a schedule though so she may be up and tip-tapping around if you sleep in. She does NOT like loud noises- other dogs barking she will want to leave the area. She is timid of metal grates or panels as they tend to 'boom' if they shift. 4th of July she just wants to spend in the basement and she may get an upset stomach. She is at a good weight, we are careful not to overfeed so we have no 'sausage dogs' here. She will come with her leash and harness and collar, her own food bowl, soft-sided crate (which she is very good about going to for meal time and bed)
