She is a gentle, sensitive soul who has quietly waited her whole life for someone to truly see her for the special girl she is. Zoe is very timid and skittish, so she will thrive in a calm, patient home without small children. She has the instinct to flee and hide at loud sounds or sudden movements. She'll need an experienced, understanding adopter who can continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. Having another small, confident dog in the home is a must as Zoe is learning how to 'be a dog' by watching her foster siblings. Right now, Zoe doesn't know how to play with toys or give kisses, but she has already made beautiful progress. She's gained the courage to come sit in your lap and soak up quiet snuggles, and those moments are incredibly special. With time, consistency, and love, her potential is endless. Zoe does well in a crate, is learning how to eat and drink from a dog bowl, and has had zero accidents in the house when taken out on a regular schedule. She is still learning how to walk on a leash.
