Courtesy Posting: 'ROO' Orange County, So Cal 'Saving Gizmo's Friends ' Meet Roo, an amazing and adventurous 2-year-old Cattle Dog mix! ��%BDThis smart, fun-loving pup is the total package for an active and loving home. He's on the smaller side for a cattle dog (~35-40 lbs) and he is great with both larger and smaller dogs! He absolutely thrives on companionship, so he would do best with another dog to play with and learn from. He's still learning that not everyone wants to be herded, so he'll need some supervision around cats and very small children. He is so clever that he tries to use his mouth to redirect your hands into petting him! He just wants to play with everyone he meets! He is extremely gentle with his mouthing, but he's also very responsive to a gentle correction and is eager to learn appropriate behavior. He is extremely smart and loves to learn-he is already pretty solid with most of his basic commands (sit, down, wait, leave it, go to bed, up, and get off) and he hasn't had any potty accidents in the house since we have been fostering him! ��թ He walks pretty well on a leash and he is very easy to handle. He can be a bit skittish if any physical handling is too rough or fast, so he just needs a very patient and gentle training approach. He is easy to work with and learns new skills every day. He is extremely food-motivated and will figure out ANYTHING for a tasty treat! He's adjusting beautifully to life as a 'house dog' and he is settling into routines with ease. He sleeps on the bed or will happily go in his crate. He always seems very happy to just lounge around. You would never suspect he grew up 'in the streets' and had no idea how comfy a bed is! �%9D%A4��%8F When he's not playing or learning, his favorite thing is cuddling-he truly wants to be close to his people. This affectionate, intelligent boy would do best with adopters who understand cattle dogs and can continue his training, ensuring positive reinforcement and boundaries, while giving him plenty of love!!
